Micah VanderHill grew up in Big Rapids, Michigan before going to Calvin College for a degree in Biology. While he was there, he interned in the Chapel as a musician and met his wife, Meredith. They married in 2010, and have had 4 children together.

After college, Micah discovered a passion for combining his biological studies with music, and decided to go to graduate school for a degree in Physical Therapy with a goal of helping musicians with repeat motion injuries. He graduated with his doctorate from Central Michigan University in 2015. After he graduated, He started working with Holland Hospital as an outpatient rehabilitation therapist and this continues to be his “day job”.

Once Micah settled in Holland, he began to look for musical connections and begin playing immediately with his church 14th Street CRC and played with many local bands. He volunteers to play music for the hospital once a month with a band of musical health care professionals (They refer to themselves as “Doctors of Jazz”). He also enjoys working with young musicians in the community.

Music should move you. My passion as a musician is to create an experience that moves people. Whether you are dancing the night away or honoring a loved one you want your event to move people emotionally and make a lasting impression.

With 20 years of experience playing piano and keyboards I bring a wide variety of styles to fit the mood and make memories. I would love to be involved in your event and help set it apart with beautiful, moving music.
